Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate opens its doors.
Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate, outside Somerset West is proud to unveil its brand-new Boutique Hotel & Spa, offering guests the ultimate in luxury when visiting this three centuries-old wine estate in the South African Cape Winelands.
The private, luxury accommodation’s prime location, just off the N2, 20 minutes from Cape Town International airport is within easy driving distance of all the major hubs such as Cape Town, the V&A Waterfront, Stellenbosch, and Somerset West.
The units of the Boutique Hotel have breath-taking views of the surrounding Hottentots Holland and Helderberg mountains, the vineyards, and Table Mountain, one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, in the distance. The wine estate offers an experience only two top-class restaurants in the Bertus Basson stable, the award-winning wine selection and heritage dating back to1696 can provide.

Accommodation – with a choice of one of our 15 luxury rooms or suites which are fully equipped with state of the art facilities allowing guests to be pampered in stylish comfort. These include a complimentary mini bar, WI-Fi, Nespresso machine, Netflix and luxurious custom designed bathroom amenities, each with an outside patio or deck and either a jacuzzi or swimming pool.
Comprising of 4 Deluxe Rooms, 4 Vineyard Suites, 1 Presidential Suite, and 6 Cottages.
The Owners Villa is also available on request and has a total of 6 en-suite bedrooms in breathtaking surroundings and privacy.
Wine Tasting – hotel guests can enjoy a private complimentary wine tasting in the historic Homestead dating back to 1773. The knowledgeable tasting room staff will introduce guests to the range of estate- grown wines that include red blends, Méthode Cap Classique as well as white and red single cultivar wines.
World Class Restaurants – The two on-site restaurants, Geuwels Homestead and Clara’s Barn, are under the leadership of Chef Michelle Theron, the estate’s culinary direction continues to focus on seasonality, locality and heritage led cooking. Menus across the property are built on slow-food foundations, using traditional techniques such as stocks and ferments, and prioritising estate-grown and locally sourced ingredients.
Abundant Scenery – Guests are invited to take a scenic stroll or jog through the grounds. They may spot a flock of hundreds of upright Indian Runner Ducks on their daily snail duty through the vineyards, a key element of Vergenoegd Löw’s integrated sustainable farming approach.
Spa Treatment – set within a peaceful pocket of the estate, the spa features a sauna alongside a cuerated menu of massages and treatments focused on relaxation, grounding and overall well-being.
